Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Supply Chain Manager with a strong background in the building materials industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and vendor management. The role requires ensuring timely material availability while maintaining cost efficiency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations for building materials.
- Develop procurement plans based on project and sales requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, transporters, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ensure seamless material planning and availability by coordinating with procurement, sales, operations, and vendors to meet business requirements without delays.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and build long-term strategic relationships.
- Plan and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials to customers and project sites.
- Analyze supply chain costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare procurement reports, inventory reports, and MIS for management.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and statutory regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant supply chain certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Mandatory experience in the Building Materials, Construction Materials, Steel, Cement, Tiles, Plywood, Hardware, Paints, Sanitaryware, or related industry.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory planning, logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Vendor sourcing and contract negotiation expertise.
- Demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
- Cost analysis and budgeting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and supply chain reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.
