Procurement/Supply Chain - Building Material

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Supply Chain Manager with a strong background in the building materials industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and vendor management. The role requires ensuring timely material availability while maintaining cost efficiency and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations for building materials.
• Develop procurement plans based on project and sales requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, transporters, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure seamless material planning and availability by coordinating with procurement, sales, operations, and vendors to meet business requirements without delays. 
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance and build long-term strategic relationships.
• Plan and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations.
• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials to customers and project sites.
• Analyze supply chain costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Prepare procurement reports, inventory reports, and MIS for management.
• Resolve supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and statutory regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant supply chain certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
• Mandatory experience in the Building Materials, Construction Materials, Steel, Cement, Tiles, Plywood, Hardware, Paints, Sanitaryware, or related industry.

• Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory planning, logistics, and warehouse operations.
• Vendor sourcing and contract negotiation expertise.
• Demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
• Cost analysis and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and supply chain reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.
