Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and procurement operations for our medical device manufacturing business. The role involves strategic sourcing, domestic and international procurement, vendor management, import coordination, cost optimisation, and ensuring the timely availability of materials to support production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage domestic and overseas suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and supplier agreements.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement of electronic components, raw materials, consumables, and production-related items.
  • Prepare procurement plans based on production schedules, BOMs, and inventory requirements.
  • Handle import procurement, including documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, LC, etc.) and coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and optimize total landed cost.
  • Monitor supplier performance, develop alternate vendors, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Track procurement budgets, spending, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Stores, and Finance teams for smooth material availability.
  • Prepare procurement MIS and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team while ensuring effective stakeholder communication.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics preferred) or any graduate with significant experience in technical procurement of electronic components.
  • MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials Management will be an added advantage.


Experience

  • 4-5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management, with at least 1–2 years in a lead role.
  • Experience in medical devices, electronics manufacturing, EMS, healthcare equipment, or related engineering industries is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in import procurement and international vendor management is essential.
