About Openhouse

Openhouse is building a network of premium play-based learning centres across Bangalore. Our centres offer preschool, childcare, and co-curricular activities for children aged 1–10 years. We believe modern parents seek professionally managed, child-centric schools with quality infrastructure and globally inspired teaching methodologies.

Unlike traditional K-12 schools or preschools, Openhouse is creating neighbourhood learning hubs (micro-schools) where children can engage in preschool education as well as activities like dance, drama, chess, robotics, and more.

Since 2018, Openhouse has been on a mission to support thoughtful parenting during the first 10 years of a child’s life. We currently operate 12 learning centres across Bangalore and Kolkata, supporting 4000+ families and mentoring 200+ educators.

Who Are We?

Openhouse is an EdTech startup founded by Stanford alumni and headquartered in Bangalore. We focus on play-based learning and believe the future of education lies in creating engaging games and activities that promote peer-based learning.

Our team includes professionals from institutions such as Harvard, MIT, IIT, and ISB, and companies like Cult. Fit and Truecaller. We are backed by leading investors, including Accel, Matrix, and GSV.

Role: Preschool Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the homeroom teacher for a specific age group, such as 1–2 years, 2–3 years, or 3–4 years.
• Plan and lead classroom activities and engagement sessions.
• Create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment for children.
• Conduct assessments and monitor the progress of students.
• Organise and facilitate Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
• Serve as a positive role model for students.
• Take ownership of professional development through training programs and relevant courses.
