Role Description The Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher is a full-time, on-site position located in Cincinnati, OH. This role is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support the growth and well-being of infants and toddlers. Daily tasks include creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment, monitoring children’s progress, and maintaining consistent routines for feeding, resting, and play. The Lead Teacher will communicate regularly with families, document developmental milestones, and collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality care. Additional responsibilities include guiding assistant teachers, following licensing and safety standards, and participating in staff training and professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education, with knowledge of early childhood development and best practices for infants and toddlers.
- Demonstrated Teaching and Training skills, with experience leading a classroom and mentoring or guiding other educators.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues in a clear, respectful, and collaborative manner.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning, including creating developmentally appropriate, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences.
- Relevant coursework or credential in Early Childhood Education or a related field; state-recognized childcare certifications are highly beneficial.
- Experience working in licensed childcare or preschool settings, particularly with infants and toddlers.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting children, actively engaging in play, and maintaining a safe classroom environment.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of care and education.
