Role Description This full-time, on-site Plumbing Design Engineer role is based in Surat. The Plumbing Design Engineer will design and develop plumbing systems for commercial and residential building projects, including water supply, drainage, and related building services. Daily responsibilities include preparing drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, performing calculations and sizing for pipes, pumps, and fixtures, and coordinating designs within broader MEP systems. The role involves reviewing project requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineers to produce integrated solutions. The engineer will also support quality checks, respond to design queries during construction, and contribute to sustainable, cost-effective plumbing designs.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Plumbing and Plumbing Design for commercial and residential building projects
• Experience in Water Supply systems design, including distribution, storage, and pressure management
• Understanding of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination and integrated Building Services
• Proficiency in relevant design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar CAD/BIM platforms)
• Familiarity with local and international plumbing codes, standards, and best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and translate them into detailed plumbing layouts
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams
• Experience in sustainable design practices and resource-efficient plumbing solutions is an advantage
