Planning Manager

Position: Manager – Planning

Place of Posting: Head Office / Major Project Site (as per requirement)

Reports To: Head – Planning & Development Team

Educational Background:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute
• Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management / Project Management (preferred)
• Certifications like PMP / MSP / Primavera (Desirable)

Work Experience:

• 10–15 years of professional experience in project planning and controls
• Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in high-rise residential or commercial building projects
• Proven track record of handling multiple large-scale projects in the real estate/construction industry

Responsibilities:

• Lead project planning and scheduling activities for high-rise projects across multiple locations
• Develop and maintain baseline and updated project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project
• Define WBS, assign activities, resources, and cost loading to track project performance
• Coordinate closely with project execution, procurement, design, MEP, and quality teams to align planning objectives
• Conduct critical path analysis, identify schedule risks, and suggest corrective/preventive actions
• Prepare and present high-level reports for internal and external stakeholders – including project dashboards, S-curves, and earned value metrics
• Lead weekly/monthly progress review meetings with senior leadership and project teams
• Mentor and guide planning engineers and senior engineers in schedule management and reporting
• Review contractor’s planning submissions, validate schedules and ensure adherence to project timelines
• Implement best practices in planning, monitoring, and project controls aligned with Sobha’s project delivery model
