Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Photo Scientist to capture, analyse, and manage high-quality images of rough and polished diamonds. The role involves operating advanced imaging systems, ensuring accurate visual documentation, supporting quality control and grading, and maintaining image consistency for manufacturing and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-resolution images of rough and polished diamonds.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, cameras, and lighting systems.
• Analyse images to identify inclusions, defects, polish, and symmetry.
• Process and organise images for traceability and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Grading, and Sales teams.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of imaging tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Photography, Imaging Science, Optics, Gemology, or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in photography, imaging, or the diamond/jewellery industry.

Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, image processing, and lighting techniques.

A basic understanding of diamond grading is preferred.
