PEM Civil-Structural : AIS/GIS Substations/Solar PV

CLIENT: Global Design & Engineering Solutions company undertaking wide portfolio of engineering services for HV electricity grids and Ground mounted Renewable Solar PV projects. Looking for Lead PEM- Civil & Structural function.

Job Purpose

Oversee design & detailing of Civil & Structural works for AIS/GIS Thermal & Solar PV projects

(11kV to 765kV) & ancillary civil related works for managing Engineering activities from prebid

engineering to detail engineering & finish of with as built drawings. The PEM shall manage

the entire design for a project or a set of smaller projects including co-ordination with of other

disciplines viz., Electrical, MEP and others (BU).

PEM shall lead a team of Lead Engineers, Design Engineers and draftspersons to manage the

Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of

engineering

Key Drivers:

• Lead engineering integration and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely technical inputs.
• Participate in Monthly progress review meetings with internal management and client.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables meet contract requirements.
• Manage scope changes and handled customer variations with cost and time impact analysis.
• Manage engineering schedule, ensured timely inputs, tracked changes, and propose recovery plans if required.
• Responsible for managing overall engineering cost during the project as per budget.
• Lead complete team of engineers needed to deliver the scope as per contract.
• Ensure implementation of all contractual requirements in each document submitted by various engineering disciplines with Verification plans as compliance to Systems engineering.
• Ensure that risks, including design risks related to local rules and regulations, are properly identified and that mitigation actions are in place and followed.
• Manage communication with the customer, sub-suppliers, sub-contractors, and partners in terms of applicable scope.
• Plan and control procurement interfaces, verified sub-supplier documents, reviewed engineering subcontracts, and ensure budget compliance.
• Responsible for controlling the engineering part of the Project Quality Plan and

ensure that relevant requirements are properly expressed in Technical Specifications.

Incumbent Profile:

• B. Tech. iCivil / M. Tech. in Structural Engineering with 20 years of experience in the design and management of detailed engineering activities for Thermal & PV Solar power plant projects.
• Excellent command of Project Engineering management & Standard Engineering Practices for detailed Engineering & BOP activities for Solar & Thermal Power Plant.
• Results-driven and principled leader with a proven track record of inspiring teams and delivering excellence in complex, high-value projects.
