The Role
We are seeking a Payroll Manager & Analyst to lead a high-impact engagement for Strack Inc., a premier Georgia-based civil contractor with a 700+ employee workforce. This is not a maintenance role — it's a build role. You will own the full weekly payroll cycle in Paylocity, architect process infrastructure from the ground up, and serve as the payroll subject matter expert for Elevation Resources' growing client portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Own the full-cycle weekly payroll process for 700+ employees with 100% accuracy in Paylocity
- Manage high-volume lifecycle data — approximately 10 new hires and terminations weekly
- Maintain and optimize Paylocity system interfaces and data flows
- Build and document standardized, repeatable payroll workflows
- Perform rigorous audits of weekly data, tax filings, and per diem payments
- Deliver labor cost analysis and headcount reporting to leadership
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years managing full-cycle payroll for 500+ employees
- Advanced Paylocity proficiency strongly preferred
- Expert-level Excel for data reconciliation and uploads
- Construction payroll experience a plus — prevailing wage, multi-state tax, per diems
- Process builder mindset — comfortable turning a loose process into a professional-grade operation
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $90,000–$110,000 DOE
- Annual bonus potential: up to 10%
- Generous PTO + major holidays
- Monthly benefits stipend
Work Arrangement
This role is based at our client site in Fairburn, GA (Atlanta metro). On-site presence is required during the initial engagement to build relationships and establish the payroll foundation. The role has a clear path to fully remote as processes are stabilized.
