Are you a model forward engineer with a passion for applying state-of-the-art AI innovations to augment human creativity? Join us as we grow the Powerpoint Copilot team, where we are revolutionizing ppt creation and modification. Located in Noida, we're pushing the limits of generating modern artifacts that are intent first with complex ML pipelines to generate and edit these artifacts. Our experiences in PPT and Create module empower information workers in enterprises to create the world’s best artifacts to boost their productivity.

As a Principal Software Engineer on the Powerpoint team, you will work in an exciting and fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with teams across the company. You will have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge visual creation models and build top tier visual creation experience. This role is crucial for driving innovation and creating modern, inclusive, and intelligent design experiences used by millions worldwide.

Responsibilities

We want to hire full stack curious model forward engineers ready to take on any challenges presented and learn new technologies fast. Proficiency working with LLMs, high Scale Services backend with focus on Engineering for ML systems, Modern Web UX/Frontend.
You will get the opportunity of working in a fast-paced environment developing algorithms and techniques leveraging text, and images for analyzing and transforming content to build solutions that have the potential to transform people’s lives.
You will work with product, ML, design partner teams on the model integration/flight/maintenance.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
OR equivalent experience.
Technical background in coding and design, specifically in the development of AI models for scaled production services. 
Able to work with and embrace rich telemetry, make data driven decisions, rapid experimentation.

Work closely together on every detail of design and implementation of the product. From fast evolving new features to long-range infrastructure and architecture investments.

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
OR equivalent experience.
Academic or Industry experience with building, finetuning or building systems with models (any category).
Leadership skills to influence others, with the ability to understand team dynamics, retain, attract, and develop team members.  
Grounded in growth mindset, and advocate for diversity and inclusion.  
Customer obsessed and passionate about product impact.
