Oracle HCM Techno Functional Consultant

Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India

Engagement Type: Contract (12 Months)

Work Mode: On-site / Hybrid

Experience: 6+ Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days Preferred

Working Hours: US EST/CST Overlap Required


Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Techno Functional Consultant for a 12-month contractual engagement based in Pune, India. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud modules along with hands-on technical experience in data migration, integrations, reporting, and US Payroll processes.


Key Responsibilities


Oracle HCM Functional

  • Configure and support Oracle HCM Cloud modules including Core HR, Payroll, Time & Labor, and Absence Management (minimum 3 of 4 modules required).
  • Conduct requirement gathering, solution design, gap analysis, and prepare functional specification documents.
  • Collaborate with HR and Payroll stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into Oracle HCM configurations.
  • Execute and support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization, end-user training, and hyper-care activities.


US Payroll & US HCM

  • Manage US Payroll configurations including tax rules, garnishments, deductions, earnings codes, and payroll costing.
  • Support compliance requirements such as W-2, ACA, FLSA, and state/federal tax regulations.
  • Work on US HCM processes including hire-to-retire, benefits administration, workforce structures, and compensation.
  • Collaborate with US-based clients and stakeholders to ensure compliance and business alignment.


Data Migration & Integrations

  • Design and execute data migration activities using HDL (HCM Data Loader) and HSDL (HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader).
  • Build and maintain integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST APIs, and SOAP APIs.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, data load failures, and API-related errors.
  • Ensure data integrity across integrated systems.


Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain OTBI reports and dashboards.
  • Create BI Publisher reports including data models, RTF templates, and scheduled deliveries.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and data extraction requirements.


Stakeholder & Project Management

  • Participate in project planning, sprint reviews, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate with onshore/offshore teams, business analysts, and technical architects.
  • Maintain project documentation including configuration workbooks, data mapping documents, and user guides.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of Oracle HCM Techno Functional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of dedicated US Payroll / US HCM experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud implementations and support.
  • Strong integration experience using OIC and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • End-to-end data migration experience using HDL/HSDL.
  • Proficiency in OTBI and BI Publisher report development.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle HCM Cloud Certification.
  • Experience with Oracle Fast Formulas.
  • Hands-on experience with HCM Extracts.
  • Exposure to ADF Personalizations and Page Composer.
  • Experience working with US clients in onshore-offshore delivery models.
  • Knowledge of US HR compliance including FMLA, ADA, EEO Reporting, and I-9 Verification.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
