Operations Coordinator

ARK Global Logistics is looking for a highly disciplined Operations Coordinator to manage day-to-day execution of our Africa transport operations. This role is operations-heavy, detail-oriented, and requires constant coordination with transporters, drivers, and clients across multiple countries.

This is not a planning or strategy role.

This role is about execution, follow-ups, tracking, and accountability.

If you are comfortable with structured processes, daily reporting, and continuous coordination, this role will suit you well.

• Coordinate daily with transporters and truck owners across Africa
• Book trucks as per shipment requirements and agreed timelines
• Follow up consistently for:
• Truck placement
• Loading confirmation
• En-route movement
• Border crossings
• Delivery & POD

• Maintain live tracking reports for all ongoing shipments
• Share regular movement updates with internal teams and clients
• Escalate delays, route issues, or operational risks in real time

• Onboard transporters and clients onto the company’s transport software
• Create and update orders accurately in the system
• Ensure all shipment data, milestones, and documents remain up to date
• Maintain clean and reliable records at all times

• Act as the single point of coordination for assigned shipments
• Ensure clients receive timely, clear, and accurate updates
• Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders

• Strong follow-up discipline (this is non-negotiable)
• Comfortable working with:
• Excel / Google Sheets
• Transport or order-management software
• Clear written and spoken English
• High attention to detail and documentation
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Calm under pressure and capable of handling operational issues

• 1–3 years experience in:
• Logistics operations
• Transport coordination
• Supply chain execution
• Prior experience with international or cross-border logistics is a strong advantage
