Node.JS Developer

Node.js Backend Engineer at Systems Limited - APAC is responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about backend architecture, APIs, and system design, and enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services & RESTful APIs using Node.js & Express.js
• Build scalable and high-availability server-side applications
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Integrate third-party services and external APIs
• Ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Write clean, reusable, testable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps teams
• Debug and resolve production issues

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js
• Solid experience with JavaScript
• Experience with MongoDB and/or SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design
• Knowledge of JWT, OAuth, and role-based access control
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems
• Experience with unit testing (Jest, Mocha, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
