Job Description

Area of Responsibility:

Sales Strategy Development

  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term sales strategies aligned with company goals, define go-to-market (GTM) strategies by product, segment, channel, and geography, Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive benchmarking, Drive pricing, discounting, and margin optimization strategies in collaboration with finance.

Sales Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead annual, quarterly, and monthly sales planning processes, establish sales targets, quotas, and territory plans, Own sales forecasting accuracy and pipeline health management, develop capacity and headcount planning models for sales teams

Sales Performance Management

  • Design and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and performance scorecards, Analyse sales productivity, conversion ratios, deal velocity, and win-loss data, identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions, Partner with sales leaders to improve execution discipline.

Analytics, Insights & Reporting

  • Provide leadership with regular reports on sales performance, trends, risks, and opportunities, Lead data-driven decision-making across the sales organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing on demand generation, pipeline coverage, and campaign effectiveness, Partner with Finance on budgeting, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis, Collaborate with Product, Supply Chain, and Operations to align demand and delivery,Act as a bridge between strategy and frontline sales execution.

Process Excellence & Enablement

  • Drive sales process standardization and continuous improvement, Support sales enablement initiatives including tools and training. Support digital transformation initiatives within sales

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor the sales strategy & planning team, Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution.


Qualification & Skills :

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Strategy, or Business Management
  • 12–18+ years of experience in sales strategy, sales operations, or commercial leadership roles
