Role Description The MYP Design educator will plan, deliver, and reflect on engaging design lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework, fostering inquiry-based learning and authentic problem-solving. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing units, creating project-based learning experiences, guiding learners through the design cycle, and integrating digital tools and design methodologies into classroom practice. The role involves assessing student work using MYP criteria, providing constructive feedback, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and whole-school initiatives. The educator will contribute to curriculum development, participate in professional learning, communicate regularly with parents and guardians, and help create safe, inclusive, and creative learning spaces on campus. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hyderabad.
Qualifications
  • Ability to teach design concepts using Graphic Design and Graphics tools, and to guide learners in visual communication and layout principles.
  • Strong Research skills to support inquiry-based projects, design investigations, and evidence-informed classroom practice.
  • Experience or familiarity with Architecture and spatial design principles to enrich MYP Design projects and real-world applications.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and related digital tools to support prototyping, modeling, and design visualization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering, Education, or a related field; formal training or certification in IB MYP is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching or facilitating learning with adolescents, preferably in an international or IB school setting.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered practice.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and contribute actively to the school’s culture of reflection and innovation.
