Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mold Designer role based in Gurgaon. The Mold Designer will create and refine 2D and 3D designs for injection molds and tooling, ensuring manufacturability, durability, and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities include interpreting product requirements, collaborating with design and production teams, selecting appropriate materials and mold components, and preparing detailed drawings and documentation. The role also involves optimizing mold designs for cycle time, quality, and ease of maintenance, supporting trial runs, and resolving mold-related issues during production. The Mold Designer will work closely with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to meet project timelines and maintain high standards of precision molding.
Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Mold Design and Injection Molding, with hands-on experience in plastic mold development and optimization.
  • Proficiency in Tooling Design and Design Engineering, including 2D/3D CAD tools and understanding of manufacturing and machining processes.
  • Solid knowledge of mold components, materials, and design standards for high-quality, precision molds.
  • Experience in troubleshooting mold performance issues and supporting mold trials and improvements on the shop floor.
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool and Die, Plastics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
  • Prior experience in an OEM or plastic manufacturing environment is preferred.
