Must-Have Qualifications:

• Proven commercial experience as a Frontend Software Developer
• Mastery of web development best practices, including design, semantic HTML markup, CSS, TypeScript, and related technologies
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Redux, React-Router, and testing tools like Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Jasmine, Enzyme, or Mocha
• Proficiency in using Node.js to build high-traffic applications, potentially with frameworks like Express.js, Sails, or Koa
• Knowledge of UI performance best practices and optimisation techniques
• Experience integrating REST API endpoints effectively
• Strong expertise in industry-standard web accessibility, design, and usability, ensuring compatibility across browsers, platforms, and devices
• A commitment to writing readable, maintainable, modular, and extendable code
• Familiarity with the DevOps model and its practices
• Experience working in Lean and Agile environments, with an understanding of methodologies such as BDD, ATDD, and TDD

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Bringing responsive and adaptive web designs to life across multiple viewports
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as Remix or Next.js
• Exposure to state machines and statecharts, with bonus points for experience using XState
• Developing web applications tailored to the constraints of “non-standard” devices
