Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Solar EPC

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution
Supervise installation of Module Mounting Structures (MMS) and tracker systems.
Ensure proper alignment, levelling, and structural integrity of installations.
Monitor daily site activities and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings.
Drawing & Design Coordination
Interpret and work with mechanical drawings, GA layouts, and foundation details.
Coordinate with design team for resolving site issues and design clarifications.
Support preparation of as-built drawings.
Material & Inventory Management
Verify receipt and quality of mechanical materials at site.
Maintain records of materials, usage, and stock.
Coordinate with procurement for timely material availability.
Quality Assurance & Control
Ensure installation meets QA/QC standards and project specifications.
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with method statements.
Report and rectify deviations from quality standards.
Contractor Coordination
Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to project scope and timelines.
Track productivity and quality of contractor work.
Assist in measurement verification and billing.
Planning & Progress Monitoring
Support preparation of daily and weekly work plans.
Track progress against schedule and report delays.
Assist in achieving project milestones.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Ensure compliance with safety standards during installation.
Enforce PPE usage and safe work practices.
Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain site records including progress reports, inspection reports, and checklists.
Prepare daily progress reports (DPR).
Assist in project documentation and handover.
