This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary. As a result, they will also be overseeing specific personnel.
We are seeking a highly skilled, data-driven Marketplace Manager to lead and optimize performance across major e-commerce platforms including Amazon, Walmart, and eBay. This team leader is responsible for both operational excellence and advertising strategy—owning marketplace growth, profitability, and overall channel performance.
The ideal candidate combines deep marketplace expertise with strong analytical and strategic abilities, ensuring best-in-class product visibility, content quality, revenue acceleration and leadership.

- Own end-to-end marketplace performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and advertising efficiency (ROAS, ACOS, ROI).
- Develop and execute multi-marketplace strategies aligned with broader business objectives.
- Monitor trends, algorithm changes, competitor movements, and category dynamics to implement proactive optimizations.
- Build, manage, and optimize PPC campaigns across Amazon, Walmart, and other marketplaces using tools such as Helium10, Pacvue, or equivalent platforms.
- Continuously test campaign structures, targeting strategies, and bidding methodologies to improve performance.
- Conduct A/B tests, adjust budgets, execute keyword expansions, and refine targeting to maximize return.
- Oversee optimization of product detail pages, titles, bullets, A+ content, brand storefronts, and multimedia assets.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop high-impact visuals and copy that drive conversion and brand consistency.
- Ensure SKU-level content meets marketplace requirements and SEO best practices.
- Develop and execute pricing strategies, including dynamic pricing recommendations and competitive analysis.
- Plan and manage promotions such as coupons, deals, seasonal campaigns, and marketplace-specific events (e.g., Prime Day, Walmart Deals).
- Maintain healthy account operations including order fulfillment performance, chargebacks, fees, and margin optimization.
- Partner with supply chain teams on forecasting, replenishment, and inventory planning to minimize stockouts and overstock.
- Monitor inbound shipments, FC issues, and marketplace logistical challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all marketplace policies, content requirements, and governance rules.
- Manage and resolve account health alerts, listing suppressions, and support tickets to maintain uninterrupted selling status.
- Produce weekly and monthly performance reports focusing on profitability, spend efficiency, traffic, ranking, and overall channel health.
- Provide clear insights and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Track KPIs such as contribution margin, TACOS, keyword rank, and customer review trends.
- Work closely with marketing, creative, operations, product, finance, and leadership teams to ensure coordinated marketplace efforts.
- Participate in business reviews and contribute to high-level strategy discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, eCommerce, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing a team of people responsible for driving growth across Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or other marketplace platforms.
- Strong expertise in marketplace advertising platforms and optimization strategies.
- Proficiency with analytics tools (Excel/Sheets, Looker/Tableau, Helium10, Pacvue, etc.).
- Deep understanding of marketplace SEO, product rankings, and conversion drivers.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to stakeholders and motivate team members.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Magento, Shopify or related eCommerce systems.
- Knowledge of feed management systems (e.g., ChannelAdvisor, Feedonomics) is a plus.
- Experience managing both Seller Central (3P) and Vendor Central (1P) models.
- Experience in leading cross-functional or direct-report teams of 5-7 people..
- Proven Growth Strategies for Amazon, Walmart, Zoro, and Ebay
- Familiarity with DTC eCommerce and omnichannel marketing.
- Experience with AGL (Amazon Global Logistics)
- Experience with international marketplace expansion
