Our global team of 500+ professionals spans 40+ countries worldwide, offering expert counselling, admissions support, visa guidance, and university partnerships.

Main Duties & Scope of the role

The Strategic Alliance Manager is responsible for driving hyperlocal brand visibility, institutional engagement, and student lead generation for StudyIn within their assigned territory. This role acts as a vital link between central marketing and local on-ground execution, ensuring campaigns translate effectively into branch-level growth and conversions.

The ideal candidate is a high-energy, execution-focused professional who excels at building relationships with schools, colleges, and coaching centers, whilst seamlessly managing community events and B2B partner engagement to boost student walk-ins and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Institutional Partnerships & Relationship Management
  • Strategic Outreach: Identify and build long-term relationships with schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and language academies within target catchment areas to strengthen regional presence.
  • Partnership Activation: Activate and nurture key institutional accounts through well-defined engagement plans and continuous follow-through.
  • Account Planning: Maintain a structured pipeline of institutional partners, mapping their academic calendars to ensure timely and relevant engagement activities.
  • Local Demand & Lead Generation
  • Outreach Initiatives: Plan, coordinate, and execute a range of student outreach initiatives, including seminars, workshops, and webinars within partner institutions.
  • Event Management: Organise and drive student participation for branch-level events, in-house education fairs, and university delegate visits.
  • Activity Calendar: Calendarize the local city-level activities and monthly outreach schedules to ensure consistent market presence and efficient resource deployment.
  • Hyperlocal Marketing Execution
  • Identify Local Branding Opportunities: Identify local branding opportunities including standees, posters, kiosks and outdoor branding.
  • Offline Visibility Campaigns: Coordinate branch-level offline visibility campaigns near coaching hubs and educational clusters.
  • Tactical Activations: Support local promotions and tactical activations to increase walk-ins (e.g., experiential pop-ups and student networking sessions).
  • Social Amplification: Act as the social media champion for the local branch, capturing high-quality content and student testimonials during events for digital amplification.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
  • Sales Alignment: Work collaboratively with the Branch Manager Sales and counselling teams to ensure seamless lead handovers, timely follow-ups, and a cohesive student conversion journey.
  • Budget & ROI Tracking: Manage the assigned outreach budget efficiently, tracking the return on investment (ROI) and effectiveness of all local marketing activities.
  • Data & CRM Hygiene: Ensure all event records, partner contacts, and performance metrics (lead volume, event participation) are accurately maintained within the CRM system.

About The Candidate (including Required Competencies)

  • Relationship Management: Proven capability to network with senior stakeholders, institutional heads, and academic partners.
  • Execution & Autonomy: Strong event coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Public Speaking: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to deliver engaging seminars to large student audiences.
  • Commercial Acumen: Result-oriented mindset with a clear focus on data, performance reporting, and pipeline metrics.

Requirements & Qualification

  • Education: University degree required; a Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • Experience: 3–8 years of experience in field marketing, institutional sales, educational partnerships, or business development. (Experience within the international education, study abroad, or EdTech sectors is highly desirable) .
  • Mobility & Local Expertise: Must be highly mobile, well-versed with the geography of the local city, and fluent in the local language. Willingness to travel frequently within the designated territory is essential.
