Manager / Sr. Manager R&D UAV

Manager / Sr. Manager – R&D UAV will lead end-to-end product development, flight testing, certification, and operational readiness of agricultural and industrial UAV platforms within the Drones Division of a 350+ Cr organization.

Based in Ghaziabad and reporting to the Chief Business Officer, this role is responsible for converting engineering concepts into DGCA-certified, field-ready drone products across their full lifecycle.

The position requires a DGCA-certified Medium Class UAV pilot with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in UAV product development, testing, and operations across agriculture, surveillance, defense, and survey domains. The role combines technical leadership with strong ownership of regulatory compliance, documentation, and Type Certification activities.

Requirements

Leading flight testing, demonstrations, and validation trials, the role involves mentoring and training junior pilots, developing operational and training manuals, managing cross-functional support teams, and driving continuous improvement through structured feedback, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation. The incumbent will ensure safe, compliant, and repeatable operations while meeting product validation milestones, regulatory audit requirements, and pilot readiness objectives.
