Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Mumbai

Qualification and Key Skills Required:

• PhD with relevant experience OR
• MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience OR
• BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
• Experience in designing and developing IC Engine/Turbine based fixed-wing / VTOL hybrid UAVs
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, CATIA, and ANSYS Workbench for finite element analysis (FEM) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
• Expertise in Thermal and Vibration Management, selecting components and modifying UAVs based on tests, payloads, and sensor requirements
• Understanding of flight physics, Power Generators, IC Engines, composite materials, aerodynamics, structures etc.

Job Profile:

• Design and develop various types of UAVs, including multi-copters, fixed-wing, VTOL hybrid UAVs
• Developing and testing Hybrid Power Multirotor UAVs using Generators and Alternators
• Tuning, Calibration, Integration and Maintenance of IC Engine and Subsystems
• Designing Fuel System Architecture
• Document design processes, test results, and provide technical reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of UAV systems
• Any other work assigned as per requirement.
