The University of York Mumbai is opening soon in Powai Lake, Mumbai, India, connected to local industry and business, and dedicated to the extraordinary dynamism of Maharashtra. This will bring the ‘York experience’ to this energetic city, at the heart of this dynamic and vibrant country. We will provide education programs to maximize employability and global mobility. Our research will be relevant to the needs of Mumbai and India. The University of York Mumbai is set to welcome students from the academic year 2026/27. It will initially offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science with AI and cybersecurity, business, economics, and creative industries.

About The Role

This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end admissions process, including applicant evaluation, interviews, and driving conversion to enrolment.

Admissions & Conversion

• Manage the full admissions cycle (enquiry to enrolment)
• Counsel prospective students and parents on program selection
• Drive application conversions to meet enrolment targets
• Ensure timely follow-ups for interviews, offers, documentation, and fee payments
• Coordinate with Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams
  
  

Applicant Experience

• Deliver a professional and student-centric experience
• Communicate effectively across calls, emails, and virtual platforms
• Resolve queries accurately and promptly
  
  

Compliance & Governance

• Review applications for eligibility and completeness
• Ensure adherence to UGC guidelines and institutional policies
• Maintain accurate and auditable records
• Support scholarship processing
  
  

Data & Reporting

• Maintain applicant data in CRM systems
• Track admissions performance and prepare MIS reports
• Share insights to improve conversion rates
  
  

Key Skills

• Strong communication and counselling skills
• Target-driven with a consultative approach
• High attention to detail and process orientation
• Proficiency in CRM tools and data handling
• Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
• 4–8 years of experience in admissions / student recruitment / consultative sales
• Experience in international or globally aligned institutions is an advantage
  
  

Compensation

The salary for this role is expected to be in the range of INR 12,00,000 to INR 14,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and fit.

• Flexible during peak admission cycles (including weekends)
• Willingness to travel for outreach and events if required
