Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Legal Assistant Paralegal role located in Anderson Township. We value integrity, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence in all we do. We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team and assist with a variety of legal tasks and case management.
As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant at Mezher Law you will support attorneys in various legal tasks, ensuring smooth case management and contributing to the success of our clients' cases. Your responsibilities will include drafting documents, managing client files, and assisting attorneys with all administrative matters.
Job Duties
Communications with Clients - confirming appointments, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, answering phone calls.
· Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence
· Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions
· Manage and organize client files, both electronic and paper
· File documents with courts and government agencies, ensuring compliance with all rules and deadlines
· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
· Provide general administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
· Associate's degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
· 2+ years of experience in a law firm or legal environment preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and other Microsoft Platforms
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in the areas of bankruptcy, personal injury, estate planning and probate
· Familiarity with Best Case Software
