Junior Site Engineer - Civil

Role Description

As a Junior Site Engineer, you will be responsible for executing and supervising day-to-day construction activities on-site, ensuring work is completed as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

You will play a key role in coordinating between workers, contractors, and the project team to ensure smooth site operations. Your responsibilities will include site execution, basic technical problem-solving, quality checks, material coordination, and progress tracking. You will work closely with the Senior Site Engineer to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Core Responsibilities

Site Execution

• Supervise construction work (foundation, RCC, brickwork, finishing)
• Ensure work is done as per drawings and specifications
• Guide supervisors and workers

Drawing & Technical Work

• Read and understand architectural & structural drawings
• Mark levels, alignment, and layout on site
• Solve basic technical issues

Quality Control

• Check quality of materials (cement, steel, sand, etc.)
• Ensure proper workmanship
• Inspect work before next stage begins

Material Management

• Check material availability on site
• Coordinate with store team
• Ensure proper usage and avoid wastage

Billing & Measurements

• Take measurements of work completed
• Prepare contractor bills (RA bills)
• Maintain BOQ tracking

Reporting

• Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
• Update seniors on work status
• Maintain site records

Coordination

• Work with (Senior Site Engineer, Project manager, Contractors, Suppliers etc.)

Daily Activities

• Checking ongoing work on site
• Taking measurements
• Supervising labor
• Updating reports
• Solving small site issues 

Qualifications and Required Skills

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• 0–3 years experience (Freshers can start here)

Required Skills

• Civil engineering knowledge
• Ability to read drawings
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge
• Problem-solving skills
• Communication with team

Salary

2.5 - 4.5 LPA (Fixed)
