FirstCut Design Studio is a branding and communication studio that helps organisations tell better stories through brand strategy, design, content, marketing communication, digital experiences, and video.

BrandAid Events creates and manages corporate events, conferences, MICE programmes, product launches, employee engagements, and large-format experiences for leading organisations.

Together, the two companies offer clients an integrated combination of creative thinking, communication, experience design, and on-ground execution.


Role Description

We are looking for a driven and energetic Junior Business Development Executive to support the growth of both FirstCut Design Studio and BrandAid Events.


This is a hands-on sales role for someone who is comfortable starting conversations, reaching out to new people, following up consistently, and working hard to secure meetings with prospective clients.

The role requires patience, persistence, and a willingness to do the everyday groundwork that successful business development depends on.


This includes researching companies, identifying the right contacts, making cold calls, sending cold emails, following up repeatedly, attending networking opportunities, and constantly looking for new doors to open.


The primary objective of the role is to build a strong pipeline of relevant prospects and generate qualified meetings for the senior leadership team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Research prospective clients, industries, brands, and business opportunities.
  • Identify relevant decision-makers across marketing, HR, procurement, corporate communications, events, and leadership teams.
  • Build and maintain a structured database of prospective clients and contacts.
  • Reach out to prospects through cold calls, cold emails, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and other channels.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects until a meeting or a clear outcome is achieved.
  • Introduce the capabilities of FirstCut Design Studio and BrandAid Events in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Understand the initial requirements of prospective clients and identify relevant opportunities for the two companies.
  • Schedule qualified meetings for the senior leadership and business teams.
  • Support the preparation of credentials, introductory presentations, proposals, and pitch material.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, conversations, follow-ups, meetings, and opportunities.
  • Track the sales pipeline and provide regular progress updates.
  • Attend industry events, networking sessions, conferences, and relevant business forums when required.
  • Coordinate internally with the creative, strategy, events, and leadership teams during the sales process.
  • Stay informed about relevant brands, industries, campaigns, events, and market developments.


Qualifications
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, client servicing, or a related role.
  • Fresh MBA graduates with strong communication skills and the right attitude are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Confidence in speaking to new people over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to write clear, professional, and personalised outreach emails.
  • Basic understanding of branding, marketing, advertising, corporate events, experiential marketing, or creative services would be an advantage.
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn, email, spreadsheets, presentation software, and basic sales or CRM tools.
  • Strong research, organisation, and follow-up skills.

  • The contribution made towards creating new business opportunities for FirstCut and BrandAid.

The selected candidate will work closely with the leadership teams, gain exposure to a wide range of industries and clients, and develop practical experience in prospecting, pitching, relationship-building, and B2B sales.
