Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Pastry Chef role based in Gurugram. The Junior Pastry Chef will assist in preparing, baking, and finishing pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Daily responsibilities include scaling and mixing doughs and batters, monitoring baking times and temperatures, decorating and plating desserts, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workstation. The role also involves supporting menu development, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients, and working closely with the pastry and kitchen team to deliver consistent quality. The Junior Pastry Chef is expected to follow food safety guidelines, manage prep lists efficiently, and contribute positively to a collaborative kitchen culture.
Requirements• 1-2 years of professional pastry experience
• Solid grounding in laminated dough, tarts, cakes, and plated desserts
• Comfortable with early-morning shifts and high-volume production
• Attention to detail and consistency in execution
• Support daily production of pastries, bakes, and desserts for the café menu
• Assist with mise en place, portioning, and plating standards
• Work closely with the head baker kitchen team in an open-plan setup
