Investment Banking Analyst SME (Freelancer)

Location: Remote / Freelance

Commitment: Project-based (Est. 15-20 hours/week) (SME flexible)

Project Pay: INR 15000 per successful task (7-8 hours)

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Investment Banking Professionals to act as the "VP/Director Level Reviewer" for our Deep Research Agents (DRA). In this role, you will not simply verify facts, you will relentlessly audit the AI’s ability to function as a high-performing Analyst or Associate.

You will design complex "Golden Path" workflows, defining exactly how a model should conduct an LBO analysis, audit a 10-K, or build a pitchbook, and then perform a forensic audit of the AI's output against the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prompt Architecture: Create high-fidelity, complex IB prompts supported by synthetic Excel models, PDF filings, and CIMs that replicate real-world data.
• The "Golden Path" Definition: Map the ideal, step-by-step logic for tasks such as WACC derivation, accretion/dilution modeling, and precedent transaction analysis.
• Forensic Evaluation (The "Audit"): Review AI-generated financial models and investment memos to identify failures.
• Sensitivity Matrix Grading: Use rubrics to grade the AI on "First Principles" accuracy, ensuring valuation multiples and scenario modeling are logically defensible.
• Reasoning Feedback (RLHF): Write detailed critiques explaining the logic of a failure to teach the model elite-level reasoning.

Requirements:

Experience

• Analyst/Senior Analyst/Associate/Senior Associate at any investment banking company.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in the finance domain with at least 1-2 years of experience in investment banking.

Education

• BSc/MSc in a quantitative/finance related degree (e.g. Finance, Economics and Engineering).
• MBA/PGDM in Finance from a reputable institution is preferred.

Skills

• Detailed financial analysis with knowledge / experience of working on financial statements.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial and investment tools and instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products across asset classes, asset allocation, and risk management principles.
• Hands-on research capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Past experience in investment analysis, wealth management, macro economic research, or portfolio management.
• CFA/CA/PfMP certifications.
• Macro-economic and industry overviews with experience working across various industries.
