Inventory Management Subject Matter Expert (SME)

We are seeking an early- to mid-career Inventory Management SME to support a high-volume clinical trial fulfillment operation. This role focuses on inventory control, materials management, and ensuring accurate and efficient handling of clinical trial supplies in a fast-paced pick, pack, and ship environment. The SME will work closely with operations, procurement, and floor supervisors to maintain inventory accuracy and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject matter expert for inventory and materials control.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
• Support and improve inventory control processes and procedures.
• Work with procurement to maintain proper inventory levels and material availability.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of inventory within operations.
• Analyze inventory data and recommend process improvements.
• Support compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in operational planning and cross-functional meetings.

Qualifications:

• Experience in inventory management, inventory control, or materials management in a fulfillment or distribution environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, clinical trial supply, or healthcare logistics is preferred.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
