Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency are maintained.
- Analyze stock levels regularly and manage the reordering of inventory supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to improve inventory management processes.
- Develop inventory policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Conduct inventory audits to ensure accuracy in stock levels and records.
- Implement inventory control techniques to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
- Utilize inventory management software to forecast inventory needs accurately.
- Prepare and present detailed inventory reports to senior management regularly.
- Liaise with warehouse staff for efficient goods receipt and shipping processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies in inventory management.
- Lead training sessions for staff on inventory management best practices and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- Minimum of three years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex data sets.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for vendor and stakeholder relations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address inventory discrepancies efficiently.
