About the role :

The Installation & Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the complete installation, testing, commissioning, performance validation, troubleshooting, and customer handover of industrial furnace systems at customer sites. The role involves coordinating with customers, contractors, electrical, mechanical, refractory, combustion, hydraulic, and automation teams to ensure successful project execution within schedule while maintaining high safety and quality standards.


What you'll do:

  • Review approved GAD, fabrication drawings, P&ID, and installation manuals.
  • Verify site readiness, including foundations, utilities, crane access, and storage area.
  • Prepare installation schedule and manpower plan.
  • Coordinate equipment dispatch and material availability.
  • Conduct site survey and identify installation risks.
  • Supervise erection of furnace structures and equipment.
  • Install furnace shells, doors, charging systems, chimneys, and ducting.
  • Install hydraulic cylinders, power packs, piping, and valves.
  • Install combustion gas piping, air lines, and cooling water pipelines.
  • Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and anchoring of equipment.
  • Coordinate refractory installation activities where required.
  • Coordinate with electrical, automation, combustion, refractory, and fabrication teams.
  • Liaise with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely availability of cranes, tools, and consumables.
  • Attend daily site progress meetings.
  • Verify installation as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct dimensional checks and alignment inspections.
  • Ensure all bolts, welds, and mechanical joints meet quality requirements.
  • Report and rectify installation deviations.
  • Complete mechanical punch list items.
  • Support commissioning team during equipment testing.
  • Assist in customer inspections and final handover.
  • Ensure all installation documents are completed before project closure.

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, or
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience. 


What We Are Looking For:

  • 3–8 years in industrial furnace installation and commissioning.
  • Experience in industrial furnaces,  steel plants, cement plants, aluminium plants, or heavy machinery is preferred.
