Role Description
The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, managing onboarding and training processes, designing and implementing HR policies, and addressing employee relations and grievances. The HR Manager will also ensure compliance with labor laws, support performance management systems, and lead initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s values.
Human Resources Manager – Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, including sourcing, interviews, offer rollout, and induction
- Identify training needs and drive skill development and safety initiatives aligned with ISO 9001:2015
- Manage employee engagement, welfare activities, grievance handling, and exit processes
- Oversee attendance, leave management, and workforce scheduling
- Coordinate payroll processing, validate attendance inputs, and ensure accurate statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act and other labour laws; handle audits and inspections
- Handle HR administration, employee records, documentation, and policy implementation
- Verify employee reimbursements and ensure adherence to company policies
- Support performance management, appraisals, confirmations, and career progression processes
- Manage disciplinary actions, enforce company policies, and maintain HR MIS and reports
