About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and business-focused HR Business Partner (HRBP) to collaborate closely with business leaders in driving people strategies that enable organizational success. This role will play a key part in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, strengthening employee engagement, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring effective people practices across the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, driving organizational effectiveness, performance, employee relations, and HR operations while contributing to strategic business initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to align people strategies with business objectives through workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational development initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines across technical and non-technical roles.
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and workplace concerns.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, team events, recognition programs, and culture-building activities.
- Handle employee grievances, conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, and employee relations while fostering a positive work environment.
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmations, promotions, transfers, performance discussions, and exit formalities.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and recommend initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Coordinate background verification (BGV), employment verification, HR documentation, and maintain accurate employee records.
- Administer leave management, attendance, HRMS, employee databases, and day-to-day HR operations.
- Ensure HR policies, processes, and statutory compliance are effectively communicated and consistently implemented across the organization.
- Support performance management, goal setting, feedback cycles, learning initiatives, and career development programs.
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, MIS, and people analytics to support business and leadership decisions.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational initiatives, employee communications, and strategic HR projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and company policies while maintaining confidentiality of employee information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA/MSW in HR is preferred.
- 4 to 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or People Operations professional with hands-on recruitment experience.
- Strong understanding of HR business partnering, employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and HR operations.
- Experience handling BGV, HR documentation, leave administration, employee lifecycle management, and statutory compliance.
- Good knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRMS tools and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Experience working in a startup, technology, SaaS, or high-growth environment is an added advantage.
