HR Operations Lead/Manager (Workday & EU Scope) – Budapest GCC

Location: Budapest, 13th District (1-2 office day per week / Hybrid)

Employment: Full-time


We’re Randstad. You likely know us as the world’s largest talent company, but here in Budapest, we are building something specific: a high-performing HR People Services department to support our teams across Europe.


We are currently moving our operations onto Workday, and we need a Lead/Manager who knows the platform inside and out to make sure this transition is seamless for our employees. If you’re a mix of a "people person" and a "process geek" who loves fixing things before they break, you’ll fit right in.


The Day-to-Day

You’ll be the person making sure HR operations across Europe actually work. It’s not just about supervising; it’s about improving how we do things.

  • Lead the Team: You’ll manage a group of HR specialists (Tier 1 & 2) in Budapest, helping them handle everything from onboarding to offboarding for our European markets.
  • Own Workday: Workday is our backbone. You’ll be the functional expert—optimizing workflows, ensuring data is clean, and showing the team how to get the most out of the system.
  • Fix & Improve: We’re looking for a "Lean" mindset. If a process is slow or frustrating for an employee, you’ll be the one to redesign it.
  • Stakeholder Partner: You’ll talk daily with HR Business Partners and COEs across Europe. They’ll look to you for data-backed insights and operational fixes.
  • Stay Compliant: You'll keep us on the right side of GDPR and local EU labor laws, making sure our audits are always green.


Is this you?

We aren't looking for a perfect list of bullet points, but we do need:

  • Experience: About 7 to 10 years in HR Operations or a Global Business Service (GBS) environment.
  • The Tech: You must know Workday. We need someone who understands how the platform drives efficiency, not just someone who has used it.
  • Leadership Style: You’ve managed people before. You know how to motivate a team during a fast-paced transformation.
  • Mindset: You’re analytical and make decisions based on facts, but you never lose sight of the fact that we’re dealing with people’s lives and careers.
  • Communication: Your English is great, and you’re comfortable presenting to stakeholders in different countries.
