Hertz Sales Representative (58718)

Work schedule: 40 hours per week, to be worked between the hours of Monday-Friday 7:00AM-5:30PM.

• AAA Northeast serves over six million members in six states.
• As a Hertz Sales Representative, you will process Hertz vehicle pick-ups and returns for clients, as well as perform basic cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
• The Hertz Sales Representative will achieve assigned standards for sales and service and embody club mission and value statements with all interactions.
  
  

What You Will Do

• Hertz Responsibilities:
• Achieves overall Hertz sales goals and service score standards.
• Operates multiple Hertz computer systems, sometimes simultaneously.
• Ensures that vehicles are delivered to clients in clean condition – to include cleaning carpeting, wiping down/disinfecting interior and washing exterior in an outside environment 12 months a year.
• Ensures that vehicles are in operable condition by filling fluids, adjusting tire pressure, filling with gasoline (or charging electric vehicles), handling registrations, processing inspections, and coordinating any in-depth maintenance issues with local service stations.
• Provides customer service, both on-site and over the phone, with rental customers including Hertz Gold members, contracted rentals, and rentals being handled by clients’ insurance companies.
• Handles customer inquiries regarding processing/modifying/cancelling reservations, closing out returns, billing issues, vehicle maintenance and vehicle exchanges.
• Occasionally picks up/drops off rental customers before or after their reservation.
• Reviews daily manifest and coordinates vehicle movement in the territory to ensure that appropriate inventory is available for reservation needs.
• Collaborates with regional Hertz sales executives to execute sales initiatives and resolve any issues
• AAA Responsibilities:
• Reports to Branch Manager.
• Collaborates with AAA team to support club initiatives and programs.
• Recommends AAA products and services to Hertz clients as appropriate.
• Daily Operations:
• Communicates regularly with Branch Manager as well as Hertz Leadership.
• Performs job duties according to department policies, procedures, and practices within scope of authority, including adhering to all club/department safety protocols.
  
  

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
  
  

Experience

• 1-3 years Customer Service with a focus in Sales Required required
  
  

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid current New York State driver's license Required
• Employment could be separated if a license is revoked or suspended Required
