Vedanta is a $30bn revenue and $10bn in profit organization and further plans to invest $20bn in 4-5 years’ time in the expansion of their brown field and some green field capacity of Oil & Gas, Renewable energy, display glass, semiconductor, mining and smelting.

Vedanta’s Sesa Goa Business caters to the requirements of the Iron & Steel supply chain. We produce Iron Ore, Pig Iron and Coke. It comprises of Iron Ore Goa, Iron Ore Karnataka, Iron Ore Odisha, Value Added Business, Sesa Cement and Sesa Coke - Gujarat & Maharashtra. The Sector has a unique competitive advantage of having operations in 5 States.

The Value-Added Business is now marching into its new phase of growth by setting up a Ductile Iron Plant at Amona Goa with Capacity of 0.42 MTPA that will make VAB a $1Bn revenue business and further strengthen its presence into the Iron and Steel Industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Industry Expertise & Advisory:
• Understand technical processes and challenges within the foundry industry.
• Act as SME for pig iron applications in foundries.

• Technical Solutions Development:
• Design and recommend VIU-based solutions to optimize pig iron usage.
• Develop strategies to reduce dependency on scrap and alternative raw materials.

• Customer Engagement:
• Work closely with foundry customers to understand quality requirements and operational constraints.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for pig iron usage.

• Sales Enablement:
• Collaborate with sales/marketing teams to convert technical solutions into commercial opportunities.
• Support customer trials and demonstrations.

• Continuous Improvement:
• Monitor industry trends, competitor practices, and technological advancements.
• Suggest process improvements and innovations.

The Successful Candidate:

• BE/B.Tech in Metallurgy, Foundry Technology, or related field with MBA in marketing.
• 10–15 years in foundry industry with hands-on exposure to melting, casting, and raw material optimization.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical properties, casting processes, and quality standards.
