Job Description
Role Purpose
Udit Group of Companies Limited is expanding its corporate team to support a growing portfolio of highway and infrastructure projects across India.
We are looking for an experienced professional to lead procurement for highway EPC projects, responsible for sourcing construction materials, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring cost-effective and timely supply to project sites.
Procurement represents a major portion of project cost in infrastructure projects, and this role is critical in ensuring both cost control and supply reliability.
The candidate must have strong experience in procurement of highway construction materials and equipment, along with an understanding of logistics challenges associated with large infrastructure projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Procurement
Lead procurement of key materials required for highway construction, including:
- aggregates and stone
- bitumen
- cement
- steel
- sand and granular materials
- geotextiles and construction chemicals
Ensure competitive pricing and quality compliance.
Vendor Development
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors
- Develop long-term vendor relationships
- Maintain an approved vendor database
Contract Negotiation
- Negotiate purchase terms, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Finalise procurement contracts with vendors
- Ensure commercial advantage while maintaining supply reliability
Procurement Planning
- Coordinate with planning and project teams to forecast material requirements
- Develop procurement schedules aligned with project timelines
- Ensure materials reach project sites on time
Logistics Coordination
- Monitor transportation and delivery of materials
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners
- Resolve supply chain disruptions quickly
Cost Control
- Track procurement costs against project budgets
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation
- Support tendering department with material cost inputs
Mandatory Skills
Candidates must have strong experience in:
- procurement for highway or large infrastructure projects
- supplier negotiation and contract management
- procurement planning for construction projects
- logistics coordination for remote project sites
Experience Requirement
10–18 years in construction procurement.
Candidates must have experience managing procurement for projects valued above ₹100 crore.
Preferred Candidate Background
Suitable candidates may currently be working as:
- Procurement Manager – Highway Projects
- Materials Manager – Infrastructure Projects
- Purchase Manager – EPC Construction
- Head of Procurement – Infrastructure
Experience with companies such as:
- Dilip Buildcon
- PNC Infratech
- KNR Constructions
- Ashoka Buildcon
- GR Infraprojects
will be strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
