Role Description The Head of Technical Department is responsible for leading the technical function for DB-Aire India in New Delhi in a full-time, hybrid capacity, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees design, engineering, and technical support activities for cooling systems, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements, safety standards, and company quality benchmarks. Key tasks include managing a team of engineers and technicians, reviewing and approving technical proposals and drawings, and coordinating with sales, production, and service teams to deliver technically sound solutions. The role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, guiding product customization, supporting installations and commissioning, and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation. The Head of Technical Department is expected to drive continuous improvement, implement best practices, and provide technical leadership for strategic projects and technology upgrades.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, or cooling systems, including familiarity with air-cooled and liquid-cooled chillers and compressor technologies.
• Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams, with experience in mentoring, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Solid background in engineering design, technical analysis, and approval of drawings and specifications, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience in technical customer support, troubleshooting complex systems, and providing on-site or remote guidance for installation and commissioning.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management practices.
• Comfort working in a hybrid setup based in New Delhi, with strong time management and self-organization skills.
• Prior experience in a senior technical leadership role in HVAC or related sectors is highly beneficial.
