🌍 Relocation & Contract Details
This position requires the candidate to permanently relocate to Mozambique for the duration of the contract. Candidates must be fully committed to living and working in Mozambique for the contract period.
· 📄 Contract Duration: 3 Years (with possibility of renewal based on performance)
· ✈️ Travel Ticket — Round-trip airfare covered by the company at the time of joining
· 🏠 Accommodation — Company-provided housing in Mozambique throughout the contract
· 🚗 Transport — Company transport facility for daily commuting

📌 Role Overview
The Head of Retail Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing all Lucky SA store operations across Mozambique. This is a senior leadership role requiring a highly organized, results-driven professional with a strong background in multi-store retail management.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage the complete operations of all Lucky SA retail stores across Mozambique
· Monitor store-wise sales performance, analyse data, and implement strategies to drive revenue growth
· Supervise and evaluate all Store Managers, ensuring accountability, productivity, and adherence to company standards
· Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all stores, including:
o Pricing updates and promotional rollouts
o Inventory & stock management — timely material reordering from warehouse
o Proper product display and visual merchandising standards
o Client communication and relationship management
· Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure operational excellence
· Act as the primary point of contact and authority figure between store teams and senior management
· Handle escalated issues related to staff, clients, suppliers, or government/local authorities
· Drive consistent customer experience across all locations aligned with Lucky SA's brand values
✅ Requirements & Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience in a chain/multi-store retail operations role
· Proven track record of managing multiple store managers and large retail teams
· Strong knowledge of retail SOPs, inventory management, and visual merchandising
· Experience in hardware, building materials, FMCG, or similar product industries is a strong advantage
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to handle authority-level responsibilities and liaise with external stakeholders
· Must be willing and committed to relocating to Mozambique for a 3-year contract period
· Proficiency in English & Hindi; knowledge of Portuguese is an added advantage
