Position Overview

Vedanshi Cinematix is establishing a dedicated AI-driven filmmaking division to pioneer next-generation content production. We are seeking an experienced and highly entrepreneurial Head of AI Filmmaking / AI Film Production Supervisor to lead and own the end-to-end AI visual production ecosystem.

·        This role will be responsible for designing, managing, and scaling the complete AI filmmaking pipeline—from script and storyboard interpretation through final visual delivery. During the initial phase, the incumbent will orchestrate production through a curated global network of AI filmmakers, prompt artists, VFX specialists, and creative technologists while simultaneously building the Company's in-house AI production capabilities in Hyderabad.

·        The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines the expertise of a producer, technical specialist, and creative quality custodian. This individual must possess deep practical knowledge of the evolving AI and VFX landscape and be capable of personally evaluating, troubleshooting, and directing AI-generated visual output.

·        The role is accountable for all visual deliverables and will hand over a locked picture to the Company's external sound and dubbing partners for final audio post-production.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End AI Visual Production Leadership

• Lead and own the complete visual production lifecycle, including script and storyboard breakdown, shot planning, AI asset generation, quality review, revisions, and final assembly.
• Determine the optimal combination of generative AI, motion, video, and VFX tools for each project based on creative requirements, timelines, and budget considerations.
• Ensure visual continuity and narrative consistency across all deliverables, including character integrity, art direction, colour palette, pacing, and cinematic language.
• Establish and enforce quality standards for all AI-generated visual outputs.

2. Global Production Network Management

• Build, curate, and manage a high-performing global network of AI filmmakers, prompt engineers, VFX artists, and specialist freelancers.
• Translate scripts and storyboards into structured production packages and allocate work to the most suitable contributors across geographies and time zones.
• Develop clear creative briefs, reference materials, and quality control checkpoints to ensure alignment with project objectives and brand standards.
• Manage production schedules, revisions, and consolidation of outputs from multiple contributors into a unified, production-ready deliverable.

3. Establishment and Scale-Up of the In-House AI Division

• Define the organizational structure, workflows, and technology requirements for the Company's in-house AI filmmaking team.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor AI artists and creative technologists as the department expands.
• Drive the progressive transition of production activities from the global freelance model to an internally managed production function.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), documentation, and knowledge repositories to ensure process scalability and business continuity.

4. Technology and Pipeline Ownership

• Continuously evaluate the evolving generative AI ecosystem, including platforms such as Kling, Runway, Seedance, Luma, Pika, Sora-class tools, and emerging technologies.
• Recommend strategic adoption, optimization, or retirement of tools based on creative and operational requirements.
• Partner with the internal technology team to design and implement workflow automation and proprietary production solutions.
• Define technical standards, review protocols, and governance processes for AI-generated content.

5. Post-Production and External Partner Coordination

• Deliver locked picture, shot references, and production notes to external sound and dubbing partners.
• Coordinate timelines, revisions, and final delivery between visual production and audio post-production teams.
• Ensure seamless integration between visual and sound workflows to support efficient project completion.

6. Budget, Vendor, and Stakeholder Management

• Own and manage production budgets, including freelancer engagements, software subscriptions, and external vendor costs.
• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with global freelancers and service providers.
• Provide regular updates to the Founder on production progress, quality metrics, risks, and operational challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality, and scalability.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in film production, video production, VFX, animation, or post-production environments.
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience using generative AI tools within a professional production context.
• Demonstrated expertise across AI video, image generation, and VFX tool ecosystems, with the ability to personally create, assess, and troubleshoot outputs.
• Proven experience managing distributed teams, international freelancers, and cross-border creative collaborations.
• Strong understanding of the capabilities and limitations of current AI filmmaking technologies.
• Experience designing production workflows, operational frameworks, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to manage international stakeholders effectively.
• Strong storytelling instincts and visual literacy, with the ability to convert scripts and storyboards into detailed shot-level execution plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience establishing and scaling a new creative or technology-driven department.
• Background in traditional filmmaking, animation studios, or VFX production environments.
• Familiarity with Indian OTT platforms, regional content production, and multilingual dubbing workflows.
• Working knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as Python and an ability to collaborate closely with technical teams.
