MOETS Hospitality Group is a well-established chain of restaurants in South Delhi, operating under popular brand names such as MOETS Curry Leaf, Oh BAO, Kulfi, Dirty Dough, and more. The group also offers home delivery services within 7 kms in Delhi/NCR and has been providing private, corporate, institutional, and wedding catering services for the last three decades. Additionally, MOETS manages a homestay property called Waterfront Vila in Manali.
Moets is looking for a Head Chef - Indian Cuisine for its new Rajouri Garden 80 cover outlet.

Reports To: Restaurant General Manager / Director of Operations
The Head Chef – Indian Cuisine is responsible for leading the kitchen operations with a focus on authentic and contemporary Indian cuisine. The role involves menu development, maintaining high culinary standards, managing kitchen staff, controlling food costs, and ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
The Head Chef will play a key role in creating innovative dishes while preserving traditional Indian flavours, ensuring the restaurant delivers an exceptional dining experience to guests.
- Lead, supervise, and train the kitchen team including sous chefs, CDPs, commis, and kitchen assistants.
- Create work schedules and assign duties to kitchen staff.
- Maintain discipline, teamwork, and high performance within the kitchen.
- Conduct regular training on cooking techniques, hygiene standards, and plating.
- Design and update the restaurant’s Indian cuisine menu.
- Develop seasonal menus, tasting menus, and special food festival menus.
- Create signature dishes aligned with the restaurant’s brand identity.
- Standardize recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
- Monitor plating and portioning for consistency.
- Conduct regular tasting and quality checks.
- Control food costs and minimize wastage.
- Manage kitchen inventory including raw materials, spices, and perishables.
- Coordinate with purchasing team for sourcing quality ingredients.
- Conduct stock checks and maintain proper inventory records.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation and service.
- Ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback.
- Foster a culture of learning and creativity in the kitchen.
- Plan and execute food menus for special events, banquets, and food festivals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional food offerings.

- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
- Specialized training in Indian Cuisine preferred.
- 8–12 years of culinary experience, with at least 3–5 years as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in Indian cuisine.
- Experience in fine dining or premium restaurants preferred.
- Expertise in North Indian, Mughlai, Tandoor, and regional Indian cuisines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and ingredients.
- Ability to manage kitchen costs and operations efficiently.
- Creativity in menu design and food presentation.
- Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Passion for Indian culinary traditions and innovation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
