Freelance Accounts Payable Mentor

We’re hiring part-time paid mentors for TalentForge — Accounts Payable with 1-3 years of experience

TalentForge is building a career mentorship and talent discovery platform to help students become genuinely job-ready through structured drill cohorts, realistic interview practice, and sharper exposure to what jobs actually demand.

Founders of TalentForge worked as VP at Blinkit, with an IIT Bombay and IIM Ahmedabad background — and we’re now looking to work with professionals who can help us make our training more real and more rigorous.

We are looking for part-time paid mentors who can help us in two ways:

1. Help us review practical training for students preparing for Accounts Payable and related finance operations roles.
2. Interview students before and after training to see whether they have become more job-ready and hireable.

This is a good fit for professionals who:

• have worked in Accounts Payable / AP / P2P / Finance Operations
• have experience interviewing, managing, or mentoring junior talent
• can bring real-world judgment on what makes someone actually ready for the role
• are excited to earn part-time income while helping build a better training system for students

What the role involves

• Reviewing or helping refine AP-focused training material
• Taking structured baseline and endline interviews with students
• Giving practical feedback on communication, role understanding, accuracy, ownership, and readiness
• Helping us identify what moved because of the cohort, and what still did not

Requirements

• Prior experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, Procure-to-Pay, shared services, or adjacent finance roles
• Strong understanding of entry-level expectations in AP jobs
• Ability to interview students clearly and fairly
• Good communication and professional judgment
• Availability on a part-time basis
• Being a DU alumnus is a plus
• Graduated from college post 2022/23 (recent graduates preferred)
