FP&A Senior Analyst (12 Month Maternity Cover)
West Manchester – Hybrid
£60,000 – £65,000 + benefits
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Forge Talent are partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed business that has experienced significant growth in recent years, securing major national contracts and expanding its operations across the UK. Finance plays a central role in supporting this growth, providing insight, challenge and strategic guidance to the wider business.
Due to maternity leave, the business is now looking to appoint an FP&A Senior Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the FP&A function during a critical period of continued growth. This role offers excellent exposure to senior leadership, commercial teams and key financial decision-making.
The Role
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the FP&A Senior Analyst will play an important role in supporting financial planning, modelling and performance analysis across the business. This is a hands-on and commercially focused role, working closely with operational and commercial teams to provide insight into financial performance and support strategic decision-making. You will also provide guidance and oversight to members of the FP&A analyst team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Maintain and develop the three-statement financial model
- Produce and enhance key stakeholder reporting including Board Packs, Lender Packs and Budget Packs
- Analyse contract profitability and margin performance, identifying risks and opportunities
- Deliver scenario modelling and ad hoc analysis for senior stakeholders
- Support group leverage and covenant calculations
- Partner with commercial and business development teams to model new contracts and pipeline opportunities
- Analyse working capital performance and cash drivers
- Provide direction and support to FP&A analysts within the team
The Person
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong Excel and financial modelling capability
- Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting and business performance analysis
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful insights
- Confident working with senior stakeholders across finance and operations
- Naturally inquisitive, able to challenge assumptions and understand the story behind the numbers
