Role Description The Fitter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, assembling structural steel components, and performing fitting and alignment tasks to meet project specifications. The role involves using hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and welding or cutting equipment as needed, while adhering to safety standards and quality requirements. The Fitter will collaborate with fabrication and engineering teams, support on-site assembly activities, and help maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure efficient project execution.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in fitting and assembly of structural steel components, including experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication details.
• Hands-on experience using measuring instruments (e.g., tape measure, vernier calipers, squares) and hand/power tools commonly used in steel fabrication.
• Knowledge of basic welding, gas cutting, and tack welding practices, with the ability to work closely with welders and fabricators.
• Understanding of shop safety procedures, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to quality and ISO-compliant standards.
• Previous experience in steel structures, PEB fabrication, or related industrial fabrication environments.
• Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and follow supervisor and engineer instructions accurately.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification in fitting, fabrication, or mechanical trades from a recognized institution is preferred.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to maintain documentation or reports related to daily tasks and progress.
