What are we looking for?
- Project Setup & Data Entry: Assist with setting up new project codes/jobs in the accounting system and accurately inputting project-related financial data.
- Project Financial Management: Reviewing and evaluating project charges for accuracy, managing project costs and revenue collection, and performing cost transfers.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Assisting in establishing and updating project budgets, investigating variances, and generating reports for project managers and management review.
- Cost Tracking & Budgeting: Monitor project expenditures, help track costs against budgets, and identify potential overruns.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare basic financial reports, generate status updates for Project Managers, and assist with month-end close activities.
- Compliance & Support: Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and assist senior accountants or project managers as needed.
- Collaboration & Support: Serving as a point of contact for project managers to troubleshoot financial issues, providing guidance, and coordinating efforts with cross-functional teams like billing and accounts payable.
- Documentation & Auditing: Maintaining accurate project accounting records and preparing information for internal and external audits. Roles and Responsibilities:
- In this role you are required to do analysis and solving of moderately complex problems
- Typically creates new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures
- The person requires understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals
- Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor or team leads
- Generally interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture
- The person should require minimal guidance when determining methods and procedures on new assignments
- Decisions often impact the team in which they reside and occasionally impact other teams
- Individual would manage medium-small sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture
