Finance Lead

Role Description -

Financial Operations & Control

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow management and money movement
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping, accounting entries, and ledger management
• Manage bank accounts, reconciliations, and payment cycles

Vendor Payments & Relationships

• Manage vendor payments, credit terms, and payout schedules
• Build strong vendor relationships to support favourable payment terms
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for financial alignment

Credit Lines & Capital Optimisation

• Secure and manage working capital lines, overdrafts, and credit facilities
• Optimise capital allocation across inventory, marketing, and operations
• Monitor cash runway and liquidity to support business growth

Unit Economics & Business Finance

• Track and analyse unit economics at SKU, store, and channel levels
• Provide insights on margins, cost structures, and profitability drivers
• Support leadership with data-driven financial decision-making

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
• Track actuals vs budgets and highlight variances with corrective action plans
• Support business planning and growth projections

Audit, Taxation & Compliance

• Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance requirements
• Oversee GST, TDS, income tax filings, and statutory payments
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies

Reporting & Governance

• Prepare monthly MIS, financial statements, and management dashboards
• Ensure financial discipline, controls, and governance across the organisation
• Support founders and leadership during investor discussions and due diligence

Qualifications -

• 5–6 years of experience in finance roles, preferably in retail, jewellery, consumer brands, or high-growth startups
• Strong understanding of day-to-day finance operations, cash flow management, and working capital control
• Hands-on experience with audits, taxation, compliance, and statutory reporting
• Proven ability to manage vendor payments, credit lines, and capital efficiency
• Strong analytical skills with a clear understanding of unit economics and business profitability
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
