Role Description The Field Specialist role at VFS Capital is a full-time, on-site position based in Bihar. The Field Specialist will visit clients and communities to assess needs, explain financial products, and support the responsible use of microfinance services. Responsibilities include conducting field-level customer interactions, collecting and verifying documentation, monitoring loan utilization, and providing guidance on income-generating activities. The role involves troubleshooting client issues, ensuring timely resolution of service requests, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The Field Specialist will also support training and awareness sessions for customers, collaborate with branch teams to meet outreach and portfolio quality targets, and represent VFS Capital’s values in day-to-day field operations.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess client needs, review documentation, and monitor field-level performance.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and local stakeholders in a clear and respectful manner.
  • Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to identify issues in the field and implement practical solutions in line with company policies.
  • Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to support clients, manage expectations, and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Candidates should possess Training abilities to conduct basic orientations, awareness programs, and product-related guidance for customers.
  • Relevant experience in microfinance, banking, or community development is an advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital data collection tools are beneficial.
  • Ability to travel locally within Bihar and work effectively in diverse communities is required.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma; a graduate degree in commerce, social work, or a related field is preferred.
