We’re Hiring: Field Service Engineer – Powder & Liquid Coating

At J. Wagner India Pvt. Ltd., we’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Chennai team and support our powder and liquid coating business.

What the role is about

You’ll be involved in installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and after-sales support at customer sites. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes a mix of technical work, customer interaction, and field exposure.

What you’ll be doing

• Installing and commissioning powder coating and liquid painting equipment
• Handling breakdowns and service calls at customer sites
• Troubleshooting issues related to PLC, HMI, VFD, motors, control panels, pumps, bells, and 2K systems
• Supporting customers with technical solutions and after-sales service
• Training new joinees and distributor service engineers
• Coordinating with customers, distributors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution
• Traveling across PAN India and, if needed, abroad

What we’re looking for

• Several years of experience in industrial equipment service, maintenance, or commissioning
• Experience in paint shop, powder coating, or liquid painting systems is preferred
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills, especially with PLC, HMI, VFD, motors, and electrical systems
• Knowledge of Siemens or Beckhoff systems will be an added advantage
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• A willingness to travel and take ownership of service responsibilities
