Location: Mumbai

Compensation Range: ₹24,000 – ₹30,000 per month

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with restaurant operations, data, systems, and process improvement to help our clients maintain strong cost controls and operational efficiency.



The Role


As an Executive – F&B Controls & Reporting, you will work closely with restaurant teams to manage inventory controls, verify operational data, and generate analytical reports that help restaurants monitor food and beverage costs.

This role combines operations, auditing, and data analysis. You will regularly interact with chefs, bartenders, restaurant managers, and our internal reporting team to ensure accurate inventory and operational reporting.

You will also work closely with Barometer’s inventory software (Baro MATS) to manage data and generate reports for clients.



What You Will Do


Conduct physical inventory audits at restaurant outlets including kitchen, bar, and store.

Record inventory data and reconcile it with system records.

Assist in maintaining and updating ingredient masters, recipe masters, and item databases within the system.

Collect and verify operational data including purchases, stock transfers, production entries, and sales consumption.

Prepare and review cost control reports such as:

Food Cost Reports

Beverage Cost Reports

Variance Analysis

Wastage and Spoilage Reports

Menu Engineering Reports

MIS Reporting

Assist in verifying purchase records and comparing them with vendor invoices and accounts payable data.

Work with restaurant teams including Head Chefs, Bartenders, and Store Managers to understand operational workflows and ensure accurate reporting.

Identify discrepancies in stock or operational records and escalate issues when required.

Assist in improving operational processes to help clients reduce wastage and maintain better inventory control.

Perform revenue leakage checks using POS data including:

NC bills and complimentary bills

Discount approvals

Cancelled or modified KOTs

Altered bills and unusual transaction patterns

Support the internal reporting team in preparing client MIS reports and analysis.

Maintain clear documentation of inventory processes and reporting.



Who You Are


Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

1–4 years of experience in restaurants, hospitality operations, inventory control, or similar roles.

Basic understanding of restaurant operations including kitchen, bar, and store processes.

Familiarity with common food ingredients, liquor brands, and restaurant purchasing practices.

Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and operational reports.

Good attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in numbers or processes.

Comfortable interacting with chefs, managers, and restaurant staff.

Organized, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks across different client locations.

Fluent in spoken and written English.



Bonus Points If You Have


Prior experience in F&B cost control or inventory auditing.

Experience using restaurant inventory or POS systems.

Strong Excel or data analysis skills.

Understanding of restaurant financial reporting such as food cost and beverage cost analysis.
