Role: Engineer- Process Engineering

Reporting to: Team Leader-Process Engineering

Location: Corporate Office, Vadodara

Experience Range

B.E./B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) with 6-10 Years of Experience

Key Responsibilities (indicative not exhaustive)

Process Integration and Technology Transfer

• Witness demo / pilot / TTR batches and evaluate process feasibility.
• Review and sign off Technology Dossier reports.

Process Concept / Feasibility Engineering

• Prepare design basis, define plant capacity and develop process schemes.
• Prepare mass balance, energy balance, batch cycle calculations and utility estimates.
• Prepare and finalize PFDs, stream summary and process descriptions.
• Carry out simulation studies in Aspen / Mix-It where required.
• Develop solvent recovery, VOC control and effluent treatment concepts.
• Coordinate with Operations, R&D and Projects teams for finalization of schemes.
• Prepare conceptual layouts, tie-ins and equipment lists.
• Provide inputs for CAPEX estimation and Go / No-Go feasibility decisions.

Process Design and Basic Engineering

• Perform equipment sizing calculations.
• Prepare and finalize P&IDs and Conceptual Layout with Operations and Project teams.
• Release approved engineering documents and revisions.
• Prepare process datasheets, IPDS, line list and utility distribution diagrams.
• Prepare electrical load list, instrument list and DCS requirements.

Detailed Engineering Support

• Evaluate vendor offers, prepare technical comparisons and rating sheets.
• Resolve technical queries with vendors during bidding stage.
• Review vendor documents such as GAD, Layouts, P&IDs, datasheets and drawings.
• Provide inputs for piping, electrical, instrumentation and DCS requirements.

Execution Support

• Participate in HAZOP and process safety studies.
• Support project execution, commissioning, startup and stabilization activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely project delivery.
• Drive process improvements in safety, quality, cost and efficiency.
• Support in troubleshooting and solving product quality | performance issues.
